The 3rd National Students’ Conclave “SANGATI” had been inaugurated on 3rd September, 2016 by Mr. Srinu M, Head Learning and Development, Reliance Foundation and Prof. L K Vaswani, Director KIIT School of Rural Management.

LEADING EDGE:
The 1st event of Sangati was leading edge in which overall 15 colleges participated. In this event participants had to present their innovative ideas and concept regarding CSR. The judges for the event were Dr. Damodar Jena (KIIT School of Rural Management), Mr. Pranab Choudhury (Practicing researcher and consultant) and Mr. Srinu M (Programme Director, Reliance Foundation). All the CSR models were concerned with basically environment, social and corporate issues. To end the event, a vote of thanks was given by Prof Sumita Sindhi to all the participating team.
Under leading edge the views of participants largely came on a common platform like what is CSR? Why to go for CSR? CSR models and various other relevant points, which lead them diagnosing the problems and then coming up with innovative CSR models.

3rd – KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar

SHUTTER-MAN
Shutter-man, a photo story competition, where the participants had to explain a set of photos to complete a puzzle depicting CSR approaches/ model /projects with focus on the social, ecological and the economical parameters of CSR. Six management colleges participated in the event which included SRM NLRI (Ratlam), G.B.P.S.S.I (Allahabad), IMS Ranchi, Central University (Jharkhand), KSRM, KSOM & RCM, BBSR. Mr. H Khatua (Director, School of Film and Media Studies, KIIT University), Mr. Roul (Dean, School of Film and Media Studies, KIIT University), Prof. Buddhaditya (Faculty, KIIT School of Management). The evaluation was based on the presentation skills, CSR story and the photographs taken. KSRM secured the first position, followed by IMS, Ranchi and G.B.P.S.S.I, Allahabad respectively.

Talking Heads.
Talking heads, a debate competition where the students from respective colleges were given topics to showcase their views. Colleges from across the country including G.B.P.S.S.I, Allahabad, IMS Ranchi, RCM Bhubaneswar, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, KSOM Bhubaneswar, NSIBM Jamshedpur, SRM GVT Ratlam, KSRM Bhubaneswar and Sri Sri University Cuttack participated in the event. The Judges for the event were Prof. Surya Mishra (KIIT School of Management), Prof. Kaish Khan (KIIT University) and Prof. Neeraj Kumar (XIMB). KIIT School of Management, Bhubaneswar topped the competition followed by Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi and Sri Sri University, Cuttack respectively.

THUNDER BOLT
It was a surprise event which was held on spot in which the participants had to act according to the situation and with the provided resources. Points for this event were awarded on the basis of the creativity and the performance of the participants on the theme College Social Responsibility. The Judges for this event were Prof. Anshuman Mishra & Prof Swayamprakash Mohanty from KIIT School of Architecture and Planning. Colleges Participated for this event were G.B.P.S.S.I, Allahabad, IMS Ranchi, RCM Bhubaneswar, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, KSOM Bhubaneswar, NSIBM Jamshedpur, SRM GVT Ratlam, KSRM Bhubaneswar and Sri Sri University Cuttack. KSRM Bhubaneswar was adjudged as the winner of the event securing first position followed by runners up Central University Jharkhand, Ranchi.
