Mr. Vinit Singh Kaler from Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) Conducted a Course on Commodity Derivaties Markets
A capacity building programme on Commodity derivatives markets in India was organized by KSRM in collaboration with Multi Commodities Exchange (MCX) for the second year students of MBA (RM) on 24 and 25 October 2016. As a part of course on “Commodity Trading and Marketing” 34 students attended the programme and enriched their knowledge on commodity futures markets in India. The topics covered were Introduction to commodity markets, concepts in commodity derivatives trade, trading in commodity derivatives commodity ecosystems and other issues. The programme was conducted by Mr. Vinit Kaler, a senior manager (training and education) of MCX.
Vinit Singh Kaler is postgraduate in Planning and Entrepreneurship, with specialization in Finance and Marketing with over 10 years of experience in financial market, treasury operations, risk management and exchange industry. Mr. Kaler, currently working as Sr. Manager – Training and Education with Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX), is also an empanelled trainer for currency derivatives. He had represented the Exchange in various seminars and had conducted various training programmes on corporate treasury strategy discussion for Heads of Treasuries in association with MIRAE Asset Management Company, Fidelity, Citi Bank & Standard Chartered. He had trained treasury heads on Strategic Risk Management, Linear-Nonlinear Derivative Strategies at Global Board of Trade, Mauritius. He also conducted different training programmes at various educational institutes of repute.
India’s 1st National Award for ‘Marketing of Handlooms (eCommerce)’ Goes to GoCoop.com
Bangalore, August 8, 2016: GoCoop, an online Marketplaceestablished with the objective of providing a platform to weaver and artisan co-operatives and community based enterprises in rural India, has received the 1st National Award for outstanding contribution in the field of ‘Marketing of Handloom Products (e-Commerce)’.
GoCoop’s Founder & CEO, Mr. Siva Devireddy received the award from Hon. Textiles Minister, GOI Smt. Smriti Irani at the Celebration of 2nd National Handloom Day in Varanasi on August 7th. GoCoop is 1st organisation to receive the award in this category.

He also mentioned that he is very thankful to the encouraging leadership of the Textile Ministry and Development Commissioner Handlooms, GOI. This focus on technology and direct linkage of weavers with market should bring in positive change in the handloom industry in the years to come.
The India Handloom Brand was launched on the 1st National Handloom Day last year & GoCoop is an empanelled eCommerce platform by DC Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India to provide online eCommerce Marketplace platform to market & sell India Handloom Brand & other handloom products. The platform currently supports weavers & artisans from over 8 states, 40 clusters, 250 co-operatives with over 50,000 artisans selling over 20,000 products.
Mr Siva Devireddy, Founder & Managing Director, GoCoop.com says, India is officially estimated to have over 9 million artisans and we are gradually seeing a decline not only in the livelihoods but also in our traditional arts and crafts in the process. The key challenge faced today by our weavers and artisans is the inadequate demand and unfair pricing for their produce.
