Project consultation workshop on Culture and Environmental Sustainability was organised by KSRM on 17/11/17. Honourable Vice Chancellor, KIIT University Prof. H. Mohantyinaugurated the workshop. Prof. Kamal Mishra (Utkal University of Culture) addressed the workshop and talked about amalgamation of traditional knowledge and western science. Prof. Leon Miller, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia; Dr CR Lyngdoh, Prof. BL Mawlong, International Centre for North East Studies, Shillong; Prof. Venkatkrishnan (Dean KSRM), Prof. Biswajit Das (KSOM), Prof. Sumita Sindhi (KSRM) were others to address the workshop.
The workshop touched upon various aspects of culture – knowledge, practices and beliefs and how culture can be a fourth pillar in sustainable development.
