The 3rd National Rural Management Symposium and “Sangati” were successfully steered under the guidance of Prof. L.K.Vaswani, Director, KSRM

The 3rd National Rural Management Symposium and Students’ conclave “Sangati” were successfully steered by KSRM team consisting of its faculty, staff and students under the leadership of Prof. L.K.Vaswani from 20th-22nd November,2012. The success of the symposia was reflected in number and quality of papers presented, diversity of subjects dealt with reference to entrepreneurship and variety of institutions represented including Rural Management Schools, IITs, IIMs and development organizations.

Special Lectures by Dr. S.S. Meenakshisundaram, Former RD Secretary, GOI and currently vice chairperson of MIRADA; Dr. Dinesh Awasthi, Director, EDI; Dr. Anil P. Joshi, Director, HESCO, Dehradun, Dr. Jeemol Unni, Director, IRMA,  Sri. Sanjay Panigrahi, CEO, Sahaj e-Village Limited, Kolkata, Prof. K. V Raju, Director, DMI, Patna and  PS Sodhi, Country Program Manager, GEF UNDP/SGP, CEE  added much needed depth and intellect to the symposia.


The competitive sections of the Sangati – students’ conclave were well received and participated by 15 teams from reputed B Schools. The interactive session between 6 successful entrepreneurs and participating B Schools teams proved to be the best attraction for potential entrepreneurs from B-schools.
